The Opportunity:
DataGrail is a complete, AI-powered privacy automation platform for privacy, legal, and security teams at the world’s leading brands. Dedicated to the people who make privacy work possible, DataGrail’s community attracts over 1,800 privacy leaders worldwide to network and learn from each other and plays a pivotal role in DataGrail’s brand sentiment and privacy leadership.
Reporting to the Head of Content and Community, the Data Privacy Intern will leverage community resources to build goodwill with privacy leaders, develop subject matter experts and champions, facilitate professional development opportunities for privacy newcomers and experts alike, and cultivate new and tangible best practices for privacy management. In this part-time (20hr/week), 5 month internship, you’ll partner with individual champions to build confidence sharing privacy leadership, help privacy managers find the next role in their careers, and organize community events.
We’re looking for an enthusiastic relationship-builder and self-starter with a demonstrated passion for data privacy that can lay a strong foundation towards a mission that matters: to help companies lead with trust.
The Skill Set:
- Build meaningful relationships with industry experts, support their individual professional ambitions, and help them connect.
- Track privacy news, job listings, and resources from across the web and maintain a posting schedule within the Slack community.
- Facilitate introductions, content creation & community contribution from community champions through efficiently managing projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Plan and organize virtual events to bring the community together, enable and support community members to organize in-person meetups.
- Identify blog & social media content ideas from community discussions and synthesize community member perspectives to create thought-provoking articles.
- Prepare formal quarterly reports on community performance and impact while analyzing engagement trends and opportunities on an ongoing basis.
- Partner with DataGrail teams across Marketing, Product, Customer Success, and Sales to add value to the Privacy Roundtable member experience.
Within 90 days:
- Increase the engagement rate of Slack members by 15% via daily news posts, discussion questions, and async interactive activities or games
- Host 2 small group virtual events
- Add 20 new community members via peer referrals
- Cultivate 2 new DataGrail Contributors
Within 5 months:
- Host at least 1 programmed event and 1 unprogrammed community office hours session per month
- Collaborate with Contributors to publish community-inspired content gathering at least 2,000+ social impressions collectively
- Match community members to highly relevant engagement opportunities such as networking dinners and speaking opportunities
This is a temporary internship position.
We value the hard work and drive of our interns and are confident you'll make an impact during your time here as you learn and grow with us. The hourly rate range below is a guideline and the final rate will be based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies.
