Our client, a major global consumer Fortune 500 brand, is seeking a CONTRACT Privacy Program Manager for a six-month engagement, working in a fully remote capacity for approximately 15–20 hours per week. Reporting to the Chief Privacy Officer, this role will play a key part in executing high-impact privacy initiatives with a strong focus on program and project management. Key priorities include coordinating a global personal data retention project, supporting a transition to the latest version of OneTrust Policy Management, managing the drafting and rollout of privacy policies across multiple regions and audiences, and driving global training and awareness initiatives. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and confident managing multiple workstreams and engaging with stakeholders across a complex global organization. Both program/project management experience as well as strong privacy prowess is essential for this role.
Key Roles/Responsibilities:
- Manages the global rollout and maintenance of the Company’s privacy program in collaboration with regional privacy leaders
- Drives the execution and operationalization of key privacy initiatives
- Manages privacy training and awareness program, including the selection of vendors, the development of training content and plans, and the integration with internal learning management systems
- Manages the development, translation and rollout of new policies, procedures, notices, playbooks and trainings across all brands, regions and functions within the Company
- Manages the policy lifecycle process, including processes for policy updates, reviews, approvals and audit for compliance therewith
- Manages the implementation of privacy software and technology tools
- Manages relationships with third-party vendors used for privacy software and technology tools, marketing and training, and facilitate RFPs as necessary
- Works with key stakeholders on the drafting, implementation and management of Global Privacy Office processes such as those related to data subject requests, data inventories, data mapping and privacy impact assessments
- Manages privacy operations team members responsible for the day-to-day operations associated with Global Privacy Office processes
- Coordinates work streams and resources to execute multiple projects simultaneously, deliver objectives and meet deadlines
- Maintains privacy program metrics for reporting purposes and help to prepare presentations and reports for management
- Other general project management activities including creation of action plans, budget management, and ensuring projects stay on track
- Significant experience as a project manager or similar role, preferably at a law firm and/or multinational company
- IAPP certification an asset but not required
- Knowledge of global privacy principles and their application to retail and HR
- Strong project management skills, including exceptional organizational skills with ability to prioritize tasks and manage expectations effectively to complete multiple large-scale projects
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office 365 applications, including Outlook, Skype, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, SharePoint
- Advanced technological skills and ability to learn and teach others new technologies quickly and independently
- Experience with privacy compliance software and learning management systems
