Duties

This position is located under the Office of Public and Governmental Affairs, Information and Privacy Governance Division in Anywhere in the U.S. (remote job). The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Privacy Program Manager in the Office of Public and Governmental Affairs, Information and Privacy Governance Division. Incumbent plays a pivotal role in leading the implementation and ongoing assessment of ATF's privacy program. As a Program Manager (Privacy), GS-0340-14, your typical work assignments may include: Overseeing the technical aspects of privacy compliance and risk management for ATF programs and activities. Analyzing and developing effective solutions to complex privacy issues. Advising ATF management on the privacy implications of new technologies and initiatives. Reviewing and processing ATF records for release to Congressional oversight committees and managing privacy documentation to ensure accuracy and adherence to evolving legal requirements. Working closely with stakeholders across ATF and DOJ to guarantee the program's effective implementation.

Job Requirements

The qualification requirements listed below must be met by the closing date of the announcement. Qualifications

To qualify for 14, candidates must also have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-13. This is a non-bargaining unit position. Specialized experience is demonstrated experience, which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position. Experience must be in the normal line of progression or must be related to the work of the position advertised and must be reflected in resume. Examples of specialized experience include: Managing and evaluating the effectiveness of a privacy program and recommending program improvements; and Utilizing computer network security protocols, control and security measures and best practices to collect, use, disseminate and store PII; and Identifying and developing solutions to privacy problems; and Drafting and reviewing privacy compliance documents, including privacy impact assessments (PIAs) and system of records notices (SORNs); and Advising and performing liaison functions regarding privacy matters with internal and external officials.
