Position : Chief Privacy Counsel
What will you do?
- Develop and implement a comprehensive privacy strategy aligned with legal requirements, industry standards, and organizational values.
- Craft, update, and communicate privacy policies and procedures to ensure alignment with evolving regulations and best practices.
- Stay abreast of Taiwan privacy regulations and ensure the organization's practices align with legal requirements.
- Work collaboratively with business, engineering, and stakeholders’ teams to integrate privacy considerations into the business and services.
- Develop and oversee incident response plans for privacy breaches, ensuring timely and appropriate actions are taken.
- Conduct privacy training programs for employees and promote awareness campaigns to instill a strong privacy culture within the organization.
- Conduct regular privacy risk assessments, identifying potential risks and implementing measures to mitigate them.
- Evaluate and manage privacy practices of third-party vendors to ensure compliance with privacy standards.
- Work closely with legal, IT, engineering, security, and business departments to address privacy-related issues and foster a multidisciplinary approach to privacy management.
- Response to privacy related government agency
Essential Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Chief Privacy Counsel or in a senior privacy role.
- Deep understanding of Taiwan privacy regulations and frameworks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills related to privacy and data protection.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with various stakeholders.
- Experience in developing and delivering privacy training and awareness programs.
- Legal background or a solid understanding of legal aspects related to privacy is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field, with a focus on privacy or data protection.
- Understanding of GDPR requirements and frameworks.
- Experience (or understanding) of privacy-related international certifications.
- Experience in responding to regulatory agencies related to privacy in Taiwan.
