Our client, a gaming technology leader, is seeking a contract-to-hire Privacy Analyst to join their expanding data privacy team. This is a strong entry-level opportunity for someone looking to launch a career in privacy compliance, offering exposure to global regulations, risk assessments, and vendor privacy reviews. Reporting to the Director of Privacy, the analyst will help document and manage privacy assessments, support project tracking, and assist in drafting policies and training materials. The role also involves hands-on work with tools like Transcend and cross-functional collaboration with legal, procurement, and business stakeholders. Strong basic data privacy knowledge and experience is required, however the paramount trait is a desire to meaningfully learn and grow and willingness to jump in!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Works with teams to complete assessments and document risk profile in our privacy software application (Transcend)
- Strong project management abilities to track and manage incoming projects, project status, and handle data entry tasks; will be responsible for maintaining our project tracker and compiling reports from it
- Assists in drafting, evaluating, and collaborating on policies, procedures, user guides, and manuals to ensure they reflect current regulatory requirements, including Transcend user guides; helps with ongoing Transcend technical connections to internal systems and triaging scanning results
- Works with procurement, vendor management and the legal department to ensure that third-party suppliers’ contracts and operating-level agreements meet privacy requirements
- Participates and helps craft corporate Privacy training and awareness programs and content
- Assists in assessing and tracking the company's compliance with existing and future global regulations in privacy
- Assists in executing all privacy-related projects and initiatives
- Partners with privacy team and business stakeholders to identify data sharing and processing activities, and improve Privacy operations processes
- Participates in privacy, risk, and compliance forums, seminars, and conferences, as available, to learn new insights to resolve problems
- Along with the other members of the Privacy & Security Compliance team and Privacy Counsel, prepares for and participates in audits
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Familiarity with global data privacy and protection laws and regulations
- Takes a collaborative approach to problem-solving with the ability to make sound decisions and exercise good judgment
- Excellent communication skills, including customer service, problem resolution, and effectively communicating with all levels of employees within the scope of responsibility
- Good organizational skills to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously and optimally prioritize deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Familiarity with data protection ideas; IAPP-CIPM certification(s) preferred
- Some experience in project management and/or data privacy and protection, willing to train the right candidate
- Business, Computer Science or related degree, or equivalent related work experience
- Certified IAPP CIPM, CIPP, etc. preferred
