Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Data Privacy Specialist to join our team and support the integration of privacy principles across our digital products and platforms. In this role, you will ensure privacy is embedded from early development stages through the full product lifecycle. You will act as a trusted advisor to cross-functional teams, helping us meet compliance obligations while delivering business value.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure privacy is built into digital platforms and products from the ground up.
Provide expert advice to development teams, legal, and stakeholders.
Analysze data flows and business processes to assess personal data handling.
Conduct privacy assessments to identify compliance gaps and risks in data processing.
Define processes and design patterns to support privacy by design.
Identify controls to manage privacy risks within a broader risk framework.
Recommend and support implementation of privacy-enhancing technologies.
Create and deliver privacy training and awareness sessions.
Support incident response efforts involving personal data breaches.
Represent the privacy function in discussions with business stakeholders.
About You
Knowledge:
Strong understanding of GDPR, e-Privacy, NIST Privacy Framework, ISO 27701/27001, OWASP.
Applying privacy-by-design, including privacy enhancing technologies
Familiarity with privacy-preserving techniques (pseudonymization, anonymization, etc.).
Understanding of secure deletion, data minimization, and de-identification.
Experience working in modern digital environments (e.g., Azure, AWS, APIs, data pipelines).
Awareness of cybersecurity principles and their connection to privacy protection.
Rich experience in conducting data privacy impact assessments.

Required Experience
Demonstrated 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity or data privacy or cybersecurity, especially in managing personal data.
CIPT, CIPP/xT certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
Experience applying NIST, OWASP, or ISO security/privacy frameworks in practice.
Additional Information
This role is full-time (40 hours per week) and based in Delft, Netherlands. This role sits in the Information Security and Data Privacy function and reports to Team Manager, Enabling functions, Inter IKEA Group.
