We are currently seeking a Solutions Director in the San Francisco Bay Area whose core skills fall into our Security and Privacy practice. This practice encompasses a broad range of disciplines. It includes Cybersecurity, which is focused on protecting systems, networks, and data from digital attacks. Compliance is another crucial aspect, ensuring that organizations adhere to regulatory standards and laws, such as GDPR or HIPAA, to avoid penalties and protect customer data. The practice also involves a strong emphasis on General Privacy, which is about respecting and protecting user data in the tech sector, including how data is collected, stored, used, and shared. Additionally, the practice includes Change & Adoption, managing the human side of change to achieve the required business outcome, and Learning & Training, equipping individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary in this ever-evolving field. The Solutions Director contributes to the success of Unify Consulting and our clients by creating, selling, delivering, and ensuring the quality of strategic solutions that address the specific challenges our clients face.
For clients, the Solutions Director acts as the single point of contact for communication and escalation, serves as a trusted strategic thought partner, and guides the team to deliver the solution through oversight and coaching.
For Unify, the Solutions Director ensures all client contractual obligations are met, manages the team to meet Unify financial targets, and shares responsibility for business development activities related to extending consulting engagements, expanding services within the account, and helping establish Unify’ s presence at new accounts. This role reports to a General Manager where they are billing at and have a dotted line accountability to an assigned Solutions Managing Director.
Responsibilities
- Develop solution sales strategies and targets with account General Managers for assigned accounts and drive activity to achieve those targets within those accounts.
- Meet with clients to understand their needs and develop proposals with solution approach, team, and pricing to meet those needs.
- Sell, lead, and deliver your solutions at assigned accounts. Model solution development through both sales and delivery excellence.
- Develop and curate solutions offering content that helps advance solution sales growth companywide.
- Actively drive individual consulting and solutions sales efforts at your accounts and across regions for selected solutions and areas of expertise.
- Identify opportunities and engage with Account, Business Development, and Practice leaders to develop individual consulting and solution proposals to help win new work.
- Generate unique points of view, case studies, and other collateral related to selected solutions and share with internal stakeholders and with clients in sales meetings.
- Oversee the definition, implementation, and continuous improvement of Solution and Practice protocols and standards. Set and raise the bar.
- Guide and inspire consultants to sell, lead and deliver your solutions. Give them a path to success and create opportunities to be together in person, for Lunch & Learns, strategy sessions, happy hours, etc.
- Provide input and direction to the recruiting team on the skills, abilities, and background needed for the solution specific candidates.
- Lead from the front through excellent delivery as a billable leader (100% utilized) with a combination of both delivery and delivery lead responsibilities.
- Ensure each team member contributes to the team's success by creating high quality deliverables and meeting established milestones. Provide quality assurance of deliverables and coaching/mentoring, as needed. Create a positive team environment where each member is heard, respected, and valued.
Skills & Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in management consulting with a focus on providing business value
- 10+ years leading concurrent projects and managing senior client relationships
- Demonstrated subject matter expertise in Security Privacy & Compliance.
- Prior experience managing and growing consulting services
- Extensive experience selling and delivering work with a track record of sales growth.
- Proven history of growing a client base through organic business development and supporting pre-sale actions
- Must have excellent client-facing skills including communication, presentation, and relationship management capabilities.
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
